3 People & 1 All-Star Like this Event. I Like It
The Violet Crown Radio Players perform Dorothy Parker’s Big Blonde in a live recreation of a radio broadcast on Thursday, July 26, at 7 p.m. at the Harry Ransom Center.
This event is the final performance in a series focusing on works from the 1920s. The actors of Violet Crown Radio Players, Austin’s original, old-time radio re-creation troupe, perform in period costumes from the 1920s, interact with audience members, and give the audience a behind-the-scenes look at radio studios, ca. 1929.
Seating is free but limited. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
This series is held in conjunction with the Ransom Center’s exhibition The American Twenties. Visit soon before the exhibition closes July 29.
