This show will consist of a night full of punk, ska, surf, electronica and the fusion of rhythms. 7 NEGROAfter years of touring through out Mexico with Inspector, members of the band launch a side project merging their Mexican roots with punk and what they describe to be horrorbilly. In 1998, 7 Negro takes off with the current members of Inspector, Big Javy, El Rojo and Lolo and drummer of Zinnia Pepe Cedeo. It is in 2006 that Big Javy vocalist for inspector returns with the rebirth of 7 Negro and as his personal project made up of local musicians and friends in the area of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. Today, 7 Negro is composed of Big Javy vocalist, guitarist Hector of Mezcal, long time friend and drummer Pepe Cedeo of Zinnia and bassist Vilchez of Astro Zombies. Kanko, is the work of musician/composer Brian Ramos (former lead singer of Fantasma). In 2006, Brian went on to further develop a digital music education program for underserved youth in the Austin area and composed the first pieces that would become Kanko’s repertoire. By late summer 2006, Brian began collaborating with producer Dusty Oliveira “El Sancho”, guitarist Ryan Rooney member of TFO & ex-member of The Catatonics a, Nic Treviño of Echo Base and Alex Marrero vocalist and percussionist of Ghandaia.
