Austin Film Festival introduces the next installment in the Conversations in Film series, a year-round series of film seminars open to writers, filmmakers, and anyone interested in film.
On August 5th, acclaimed screenwriter Dan Petrie Jr. leads our second seminar in the Conversations in Film series, "Story and Structure: What to Think About Before You Write The Script." Daniel Petrie, Jr. wrote the screenplays for Beverly Hills Cop (for which he received an Oscar™ nomination) and The Big Easy. Petrie then co-wrote and produced Shoot to Kill, co-wrote and exec-produced "Turner and Hooch", and co-wrote and directed Toy Soldiers.
Join us for a rare conversation with Mr. Petrie about the craft of screenwriting followed by a special archival screening of Beverly Hills Cop at the Regal Arbor. The ticket is included in the seminar purchase. Individual tickets to the screening may be purchased at the door for $5 ($3 for AFF members).
| Sun Aug 5th, 1-3pm, $20/$25, all ages |
