Lucy is a four-year-old girl with a very active imagination. Unfortunately, her imaginary friend Mr. Marmalade doesn’t have much time for her. Not to mention he beats up his personal assistant, has a cocaine addiction, and a penchant for pornography. Larry, her only real friend, is the youngest suicide attempt in the history of New Jersey. MR. MARMALADE is a savage black comedy about what it takes to grow up in these difficult times.

"slyly amusing, envelope-pushing…Haidle has the courage of his convictions, which he has demonstrated in a mature and accomplished play…extraordinary…” —L.A. Times

And Tiny Robinson’s Lucy seems just like the kid who colored it in; the actress – who is an adult – plays the child with the exuberance of a kindergartner set free at recess, all giddy, playful energy busting loose…More at AustinChronicle.com
