From the charmingly aloof pop of Yellow Fever to the ragged Big Star-evoking Lomita to the dusty, antediluvian folk of Peter And The Wolf to The Mercers’ blend of new-wave influences and barroom bluster, you’re unlikely to find a better primer on Austin’s biggest up-and-comers, while wild cards like Spanish-speaking Brit-poppers Maneja Beto, synth-flavored cut-ups Fancy Feast (featuring members of Belaire), and “foot fetish funk band” Foot Patrol keep things interesting.
