From his humble roots working on the family farm in Tennessee to working on the Academy-Award winning An Inconvenient Truth, Al Gore has cemented himself as an American personality, leading a rich and unique life. Come listen to Al Gore when he visits The Theatre at the Frank Erwin Center, Monday, October 1 at 7:30 p.m. to speak live about his crusade against global warming.

Before An Inconvenient Truth, Al Gore was best known as Bill Clinton’s Vice President from 1992 untill 2000 and for his failed presidential bid in the 2000 election. After the 2000 election, Al Gore focused his talents on spreading the message about the climate crisis. The Ex-VP has been at the forefront of environmental action, giving numerous speeches on Global Warming awareness and prevention through the use of his now famous multimedia presentation confronting the ecological impact of climate change on our world. Al Gore’s dream of spreading the message about global warming to the world was realized with the release of An Inconvenient Truth. The critically acclaimed movie won two Academy Awards, for Best Documentary Feature and Best Original Song and is the third highest grossing documentary ever. It is thanks to Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth that adverse climate change has been realized as a real threat. Now, carbon neutrality, the dangers of Greenhouse gases and the Kyoto Protocol are all normal household topics.

Following up his incredibly successful debut on the silver screen, Al Gore arrives at The Theatre at the Frank Erwin Center on October 1 to continue the crusade against global warming. After listening to Gore’s speech in Stanford, Google CEO Eric Schmidt lauded the former Vice President, declaring “He’s funny, he’s passionate, he’s real.” Don’t miss this once in a life time opportunity to hear about what the future holds for our environment.
