Another month, another rockin' edition of Ready Steady Go coming to Beerland! On March 7th we are taking a slightly modified approach to our monthly retro shindig. This time out we will have three bands performing rather than just one. DJs Mike Hooker and Shorty Stump will spin the songs you dig to keep the groove going in between sets. And of course the Ready Steady Go-Go’s will be shaking it all night long. So same premise, just more bands and more bang for your buck!

Headlining this electrifying evening is Phoenix’s very own Farfisa-driven, fuzzed out, high octane, garage rockers, The Love Me Nots! The female-led group will take you on a time warp that will have you seeing black and white, literally! If you’ve not heard this band yet, they are on the verge of massive world domination, so you might as well get hip to their sound now before they engulf the rest of the world.

Also featured on the bill is Austin superstar surf combo, The Thunderchiefs! Containing members of some of the greatest bands to ever emerge from the Austin music scene, the landlocked foursome will be delivering boss sounds from the surf and drag strip. Think Frankie and Annette’s beach parties, but, you know, at Beerland. And no sand.

Opening up the show is Austin powerhouse group, Shapes Have Fangs. Drenched in reverb, these guys know how to bring the goods wherever they play. Their blend of 60’s pop with a primitive edge and catchy hooks will remain in your head for weeks on end. One fix of this and you’ll be hooked!

The party starts at 10pm. Come early and stay late because there will be nonstop action. And be sure to dress your retro best!
