The Thulsa Doom will be expanding on some of our favorite tracks as well as starting the live songwriting process for some new groovements. About The Thulsa Doom The Thulsa Doom is the live electro-acoustic project of Matt Georgia, Luther Smalls, Lee Dockery, Philippe Ross, and Pete Powers. Formed in 2006, the group constructed the material for its first live recordings through an impromptu M.O. while on the stage. However, during the first 4 months of performances, each member was able to construct actual songs from live jams -reinventing and evolving the structural makeup of the compositions as each session passed. The groups first self-release record achieved chart-topping status among college radio stations throughout North America. Last year, the group composed a score for the 1920’s F.W. Maunau’s film Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans, which premiered at the Alamo Drafthouse in March 2007.
