Following the success of the first GRAPHIC event presented by the Breast Cancer Resource Centers of Texas (BCRC) last April, the organization, which offers hope, answers questions, and provides hands-on support to Texas women who hear the life-altering words, “You have breast cancer” brings back a night of art and triumph. Young breast cancer survivors will hit the runway again, modeling this year's most eclectic hand-crafted "art bras," while guests at the event are treated to live music by Natalie Zoe & Candiland, State Senator Kirk Watson as Emcee and Auctioneer, food by Carrabba's Italian Grill, beverages by Twin Liquors and by Steaz, and a silent art auction.
The annual event is both a fun and affordable way to support breast cancer survivors and an important milestone for the women who are celebrating a battle for their lives. Just as women are never too young to be aware of the risks of breast cancer, people are never too young to start supporting breast cancer education, treatment, prevention, and advocacy. All proceeds from the event benefit BCRC programs such as the Pink Ribbon Cowgirls, a social support network for younger breast cancer survivors - many of whom are young moms, women at the peak of their careers - and others facing issues beyond those shared by other survivors.
