The Pachanga Latino Music Festival, Austin's first Latin themed music, cultural arts and food festival, announced that the inaugural event will be held at Waterloo Park on May 31st. The one-day festival will close out Austin's Latino Music Month and will showcase the vibrant blend of Latino-created music and art with artists that include, Nortec Collective presents Bostich +Fussible, Grupo Fantasma, Vallejo, Charanga Cakewalk, Girl in a Coma and Manejo Beto.

Pachanga will host over 20 musicians and Djs from Texas, California, NYC and Latin America. The festival will also showcase arts and crafts from prominent Latino artists as well as social and political activist areas. Festival goers will also be treated to a "Best of Austin" food court that will feature cuisine from Austin's greatest Mexican and Latin restaurants, taco stands and vendors.

"Austin has such a rich Latino music community, I wanted to create an event that will not only spotlight that talent but also introduce this amazing collection of artists
to Austin," says Alejandro Vallejo, event organizer and Vallejo band member. "'Pachanga' literally means lively party, and that is exactly what this festival will be, a true celebration."

The Pachanga lineup includes music that mixes many styles from rock, alternative, tejano, cumbia, folklorica, salsa, reggaeton, funk, electronic and more to create a sound that's unique, Latin and American:

Tickets go on pre-sale Tuesday, April 22nd at all Front Gate Tickets locations and at Pachangafest.com.  A limited number of tickets are available for $18 until they sell out, all tickets after will be $25. Prices are inclusive of all service fees and an event donation to event beneficiary, ALMA (Austin Latino Music Association). Admission if free for kids twelve and under accompanied by a ticketed adult.
