Lucero's music is part punk, part country, part rock 'n roll, and they've never met a tour they didn't like. They're a band that doesn't have fans as much as they have diehards who come to every show and scream the words to every song from their albums. They're road warriors who live in their tour van and have had their touring experiences chronicled in the Dreaming In America DVD. Opening is Sleepercar, the sideproject of Spart's singer/guitarist Jim Ward, along with the loud, anthemic twang of Murfreesboro, Tennessee's Glossary.

A founding member of At The Drive-In and the frontman of Sparta, singer-guitarist Jim Ward knows how to pack a sonic punch. But he’s got a tender side, too; for the past few years he’s been releasing a trickle of solo songs on compilations that show more of the rustic side he brings to his sporadically active side project Sleepercar. The band’s recent debut, West Texas, is a full-bodied and confident expression of Ward’s guitar-and-piano-drenched pop tunes, twangy epics that fall somewhere between those of Wilco and Radiohead. Memphis punk-country outfit Lucero headlines behind 2006’s Rebels, Rogues & Sworn Brothers. It’s a set of songs that doesn’t do much to repel the quartet’s persistent Replacements comparisons—which is a good thing. Opening: Glossary.
