What once started with small performances at Plush has quickly become the metamorphism of Chris Rose into a one-man <a href="http://triggit.com/l?k=856&s=2854" target="_blank">mash</a>-up heaven know as <a href="http://www.myspace.com/carstereowars" target="_blank">Car Stereo Wars</a>. Since releasing his debut album, “The Bandit,” on his <a href="http://triggit.com/l?k=1633&s=2854" target="_blank">start-up</a> label <a href="http://www.artifactworkshop.com/" target="_blank">Artifact Workshop</a>, Rose’s work has been praised by editors at Austinist, Rolling Stone, Stereogum, and Austin-American Statesman. Rose also is responsible for the <a href="http://triggit.com/l?k=856&s=2854" target="_blank">mash</a>-up preview of ACL’s 2008 line up, released on their website as a teaser prior to the official line-up announcement (<a href="http://www.aclfestival.com/mashup/" target="_blank">listen here</a>). Not bad for a guy that’s only been DJing for 2-3 years.
