This sophomore release contains 13 tracks of straight ahead country music with a unique Gabe Nieto New Mexico vocal vibe all woven into up-tempo, fiddle and accordion fueled grooves, like “Every Time She Comes Around”, “Karaoke Kowboy”, and “I Said The Wrong Thing At The Right Time” while crossing the spectrum to “If All The Magic is Gone”; a heartfelt bilingual love ballad stroked in hurt from the upfront piano lines to the harmonized Border town trumpet in the distant. Following the footprints of many prolific songwriters Nieto performs the consequential words penned by producer Mychael John Thomas as they awaken the American spirit with a deep truth found in “In America“; a simple timeless story, evident in their experience of the American dream.

Gabe Nieto and the Jalapeno Express Band did not miss beat with "A Better Life" — it has Americana music written all over it, and Tejanos are sure to enjoy this melodic sounds they are familiar with. Nieto is not only a bridge of influence of two cultures from his Southwest living, but a cusp of his fresh sound in country music - "Country-achi" (a blend of smooth country coleslaw with Jalapeno heat).

Described by many of his fans in the Texas scene as a cross between Marty Robbins and Johnny Rodriguez, Gabe Nieto continues to expand his audience reach from his native New Mexico, Oklahoma and even as far south as Alabama, yet Texas is still home for Gabe and the boys.
