Business Deal Records, home to about a dozen local bands, side projects and side-side projects, present their Austin Band Lotto CD Release show. They put 33 people's names into a hat, formed nine random bands with people playing randomly assigned instruments, and each band came up with two songs in two months. Out of the social and musical experiment came new friends and new bands and a dynamite fun and highly listenable compilation.

Labels don’t come much more laissez-faire than Business Deal, the Cypress-born upstart that’s become an umbrella to an ever-widening collective of Austin acts who seem less concerned with selling records or formulating careers than having a good time, most of them with winking names and even winkier songs. more at austin.decider.com
