Born under the influence of classic rock, local four piece The Steps chisel through modern rock with '60s sensibilities, searing guitar leads, and all the hooks of early Brit-rock. The band's eponymous debut, produced by Frenchie Smith (Jet, Dandy Warhols), garnered immediate international attention. They also secured a spot at the ACL Fest last year after beating out 700 others in the annual Sound and Jury contest.
