English indie rockers Gomez are previous winners of the Mercury Music Prize, an annual music prize awarded for the best album from the United Kingdom. Flavors of Delta blues, psychedelia, and Krautrock all come into play in their music, resulting in a mischievous and remarkably forward-thinking approach. Gomez has stood apart from their very beginning just over a decade ago, earning critical praise and an ever-growing fanbase for their eclectic and ambitious songwriting. They will play at Stubb's on Monday with the funk-soul-blues outfit JJ Grey & Mofro.
