Austin punk four-piece The Chumps made a name for themselves back in the '90s for partying as hard as they rocked, gaining a reputation as "local legends and world-class emissaries of snotty punk rock n' roll." A published article found on the band's myspace page says "although they didn't cite the Sex Pistols as a primary influence, The Chumps were undoubtedly one of the period's truest heirs to the Pistols legacy. Drenched in attitude, bile, fury, and filth, the foursome's snarling, primitive attack produces punk music at its purest and most perfect." They will be doing it at Beerland on Friday along with F Bombers, Bent Gents and Scrabble Robot.
