Counting Crows' debut album August and Everything After, took the world by surprise in 1993, fueled by the wildly popular single "Mr. Jones." The album generated massive interest in the San Francisco-based roots-rock band, leading to multi-platinum success and a legion of fans. Their fifth studio album Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings arrived in 2008 and is described as "a great rock band's rise to a new plateau." Counting Crows are at the Austin Music Hall on Monday with the San Diego roots rock band Augustana.
