The Strange Attractors' fuzzed-out psychedelia follows in the footsteps of bands like the Stooges and Spacemen 3 and The Velvet Underground. The Austin Chronicle called their self-recorded and self-titled 2007 debut, "one of the strongest local efforts this year, sounding at times like a darker and more claustrophobic Spaceman 3, with cryptic social commentary bleeding through the fog." They will get together at Beerland on Saturday with retro garage rockers Shapes Have Fangs and the fuzzed-out sounds of Followed by Static.
