When Dan Auerbach goes solo, he dodges the straightforward guitar-drum blues that became his calling card with the Black Keys, ambitiously putting his multi-instrumentalist side to the test while also exploring a variety of new styles. Backed by a cast of contributors who fill in on organs, drums, bass, and guitar, Auerbach shifts between fuzzed-out guitar funk, psychedelia, and folk. Having recently been rediscovered, the "funky Hispanic Dylan" who simply goes by Rodriguez opens this Official ACL Aftershow.
