WHAT is ART OUTSIDE?

Art Outside is a 3-day, one-of-a-kind, community-based celebration of Arts, created by hundreds of artists and appreciated by thousands of participants. Art Outside provides a platform for all varieties of artists to display their work in a spectacular outdoor setting.  At its roots, AO inspires new forms of creativity and experience by taking art out of the traditional gallery and into nature.
WHO organizes ART OUTSIDE?
This year Art Outside is being organized by the Art Seen Alliance, a group of dedicated artists who, through blood, sweat, and tears, create a positive and creative space for all of you to experience. Before, during, and after the event, this dedicated group of artists come together for the sake of bringing art to the masses. Without the amazing help from all involved, there would be no Art Outside.
WHY ART OUTSIDE?

We’re after the creative urge, that urge to make something, to create something that cannot be contained in a white walled gallery. At the root of it all, we’re creating a safe and creative environment for art to happen and be experienced in new ways.  AO is all about you, the artist, and creating a unique environment for people to experience your art.

Where is ART OUTSIDE?

We are proud to announce that Art Outside 2009 will be held at a Apache Pass, a privately-owned, Hill Country ranch in a spectacular location Rockdale, TX (1hr 20min drive from Austin). The Apache Pass is not only stunningly beautiful but is steeped with history, named by early Spanish Explorers for the gravel bar crossing of the San Gabriel River, used for centuries by Native American Indians, explorers, sellters, and local ranchers. The ranch was purchased in the late 1800's by the Worley Family and still remains in the family.  The ranch features beautiful shady camping and RV park on the banks of the San Gabriel River, hiking trails, and a natural Outdoor Ampitheater.
