Monsters of Folk are a US indie dreamteam comprised of Bright Eyes' Conor Oberst and Mike Mogis, My Morning Jacket's Jim James and Matt "M. Ward" Ward. On Friday night Stubb's will host An Evening With Monsters of Folk, as band members Conor Oberst, Jim James, M Ward and Mike Mogis perform a 2 1/2 hour musical event showcasing brand new songs from their new album, as well as songs fans have come to enjoy from their respective bands Bright Eyes, My Morning Jacket and M Ward catalogues. The Traveling Wilburys-style effort has been described as " a stirring album and an outfit that is as nourishing for its constituent members as they are for it."
