After opting to put Son Volt aside for five years in order to undertake a series of solo projects, Farrar is and crew are now celebrating the band’s second incarnation. Jason Isbell is a former member of the Drive-By Truckers. With his first-rate new band The 400 Unit, the Alabama native mixes a soulful vocal style with powerful Southern rock to create a sound that is passionate and unrepentant.
