Inspired by odd-ball new wave, Pataphysics is a high energy act that combines whimsical lyrical content with danceable pop rock which never fails to even get the most jaded indie rock crowds groovin'. The influences of post-punk and art rock are apparent, but newly realized in their songs. In the Austin Sound album review they say "The band is Pataphysics but it’s Patrick Healy bathing under the heat lamps, dancing, clutching the microphone to his heart, crowned by a fuzzy wolf hat and sacrificing the profane." At Emo's on Monday, Pataphysics will get help from Literature, Jason of Voxtrot, and Way No Way.
Doors open at 9 p.m.
