Von Army’s Rock and Este Vato’s Latin Fusion Blows The Roof Off Mi Casa With Must Not Miss Performances.

When: Saturday, March 6, 2010
Where: Mi Casa Tamales & Cantina
Mi Casa Tamales & Cantina and Bemba Entertainment are doing it again. Get ready to rock and roll with Von Army and Este Vato on March 6 at Mi Casa; offering a shotgun bar atmosphere for eating tamales and drinking tequila for a $5 cover for 21 and under. Mi Casa Tamales & Cantina is located on 503 East 6th Street.
Fresh off a show case for a Pre-Grammy Awards Party in Austin and The Bob Marley Festival is Von Army. Taking stage at Mi Casa at 10:30 p.m., this powerful four piece band is young talent that puts on a show nothing short of an old hand long in the game.
Signed with Indie Label, South Central Music, Von Army’s band members are Emilio, Diego, Sean and Shane. The San Antonio based rock band’s musical influences are a range from Van Halen and The Beatles to Green Day, where the group creatively fuses old and new generations of rock music.
Following will be none other than Este Vato, taking the stage at 12 a.m., expect an air of electrifiying Latin Rock, Hip-Hop, Cumbi and Reggea. Este Vato is a six-man-band straight out of Austin, Texas, founded by brothers Rocky and Oscar Reyna.
Each member of Este Vato adds a disticnt talent, which make the melodies so unique. Feliciano Lopez, aka Chano, has an amazing “ability to combine both English and Spanish lyrics, it arms him with an arsenal of intircate rhymes that defines his political views and life struggles,” quotes The Austin Chronicle. And the “don’t mess with” turntablisit, Rey Treviño, is sick on the turntables with electronic samples and scratches. Este Vato are true veterans in what they do and are making their mark in the Austin Latin music scene.
The show starts at 10:30 p.m. and continues until 2 a.m. General admission cost is free for 21 and up, and $5 cover for under 21.
