Join the Literacy Coalition of Central Texas for a Happy Hour Satellite Spelling Bee!

A uniquely Austin event, the Great Grown-up Spelling Bee supports an important cause and has also gained a reputation for being a rowdily fun event! Senator Watson returns year after year to MC the event, sponsored by HEB, the KLE Foundation, Silicon Labs, Spansion, the Austin American-Statesman and many others.

Before the main event on April 29^th, we will hold pre-event Satellite Bees in March and early April. These Happy Hour Bee’s are perfect for small offices, book clubs, alumni groups, close friends and family! Just pick your best three spellers and have the whole crew chip in, have a beer, and cheer your team to victory!

A great team-building opportunity! The Spelling Bee and Satellite Bees have earned a reputation for being uproariously fun.  You’ll be surprised how many of your friends and colleagues can spell b-r-a-g-g-a-d-o-c-i-o!

A great price! The same fun of the Bee at a highly affordable suggested entry point of $250 per three-person team (vs. $1,500+ at the main event)

A great prize! The winning team from a Satellite Bee will go on to compete in the Great Grown-up Spelling Bee on April 29^th- a $1,500 value! Prizes also for second and third place Satellite winners.
