Buy TicketsThe Crystal Method are performing at Republic Live on June 26. When listening to their music it is easy to tell what genres they fancy, from heavy metal to hip-hop and soul to rock and pop with dance/ electronic and rave elements mixed in, their influences are far reaching; a great base to have when creating music from different elements of sound and genre that would originally be considered noise when mixed together. Unlike many other DJ sets, the Crystal Method incorporates the subtle elements of each genre, creating a sound all of their own (loud, crazy, and incredibly intoxicating) within the larger genre of dance and electronic.
Starting out in the early 90’s not only gave birth to the L.A. rave scene inspired light shows seen at their concerts, but it was also the inspiration for a new genre that The Crystal Method has taken and evolved over time through their skills as DJ’s, showing true musical talent and, well, talent in general; it’s not everyday that you meet a band that can evolve their music into something new and different over the span of 17 years and is still really successful.
Having already hit the Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Bonnaroo for their Divided By Night Tour, The Crystal Method is set and ready to bring the party to Austin. DJ Jason Jenkins & DJ Shwann will be opening up for them, getting you to loosen up a little before the night gets crazy insane. Republic Live is opening its doors to you at 10PM, a late show (for those of you that like to get to sleep before 9, I suggest you abandon this notion now to become a night owl).

Ah, Crystal Method. This is typically a dance-around-the-house-in-my-undies favorite. I will put on clothing for the public appearance, promise. Hope I win tickets!
The Crystal Method—a glitchy American act that pulls from the dustier reaches of The Chemical Brothers’ big-beat breaks—joined the ranks of LCD Soundsystem in 2006 by releasing Drive, part of a Nike-commissioned Original Run series. more at www.avclub.com
