Do512 likes to party. That is a fact. Our next one will be a mix of sweat and swankiness. Do512 Presents: Summer Love: A Dance Party. Featuring LCD Soundsystem Tribute Band-extraordinaire "All My Friends", followed by a DJ Mel all night dance-off.

The party kicks off with an hour of refreshing summer cocktails provided by Austin's own Deep Eddy Vodka.

The super-talented Annie Ray will be in the house with her photo booth too!

"All My Friends" are proven party starters. They take their fanship of LCD Soundsystem to the next level, performing the NYC dance punk band's songs note-for-note, making sure to include plenty of cowbell. It sounds exactly like you're listening to LCD Soundsystem on CD, except ten times as fun. Comprised of members of The War Against Sleep, SuperLiteBike, PeopleFood, and Sad Like Crazy, this is a force of Austin music veterans who are no strangers to the scene.

As one of Austin’s most well-known turntablists, DJ Mel has made a name for himself by creating popular traditions such as Rock the Casbah ’80s parties and weekly hip-hop nights, and he's a veteran of the Lollapalooza stage.

His spinning style runs the gamut, but succeeds through seamless transitions and smart mashups. A flawless mixer, Mel always makes it a point to demonstrate the similarities between divergent styles of music, whether segueing A Tribe Called Quest into Black Sabbath, or a 50 Cent a cappella track over a Nine Inch Nails instrumental. Brazen enough to make such musical leaps, Mel is a master of true party rocking.
