Long-time, respected film critics are losing jobs right and left as the magazine/ newspaper world gives way to web-based sites. Bloggers, fanboys, loud amateurs, tweeters, and former print-based critics are all trying to get the attention of movie-lovers. Some even want to inform them. Looking into the 100- year history of film criticism in America, Peary's heartfelt, thoughtful documentary shows us how well constructed criticism arose and how it is rapidly evolving.
