Showtimes:
After the earthquake and tsunami that devastated northern Japan, many thousands of people lucky enough to survive the disaster have been rendered homeless. These people have no idea when or if they will be able to return to their homes. Donations to relief efforts in Japan are trailing far behind those for Katrina, although the affected area is much, much larger. Austin Rebuilds Japan will be a concert benefit to raise money for the fantastic charity Architecture for Humanity, which aims to rebuild homes and civic institutions in the effected areas while still keeping the historical and cultural fabric of the community in tact.
You can come to Central Market on April 17th from 12-6pm to enjoy great music, get your face painted, learn to make origami or write you name in Japanese, and much more. It will be fun for the whole family, so invite everyone! We'd love to see you there!
There is a suggested donation of $10, but any amount you can muster is accepted.
The event will feature the following bands:
12:30 - Brittany Shane,
1:30 - Ram Vela (ofWhitman)
2:30 - The Guns of Navarone
3:30 - Tiny Tin Hearts
4:30 - Wiretree
5:30 - Austin Taiko
