This will be Bemba Entertainment's last show before going on an indefinite hiatus. Come out and tear it up with us and give support for the benefiting organizations Workers Defense Project and Soul Sessions.
Rage Against The Machine (RATM) is now one of the most controversial and iconic rock bands in history. The Los Angeles based quartet were known almost as much for their leftist political views as they were for their records. While the band may be broken up, reuniting only to play shows that fight against injustices and an occasional music festival, their legacy will live on.The tribute show era begins in Austin at Red 7 on Thursday, June 30. The line includes some Austin Vida staff favorites, Este Vato (12am) and Bombasta (11pm). The bands will be coming together to perform some of their RATM favorites as well as perform some of their own original music. Higher Than Why (10pm) will open the evening. So bring your Docs, dreadlocks and black t-shirts as we pay tribute to one of the world’s most inspirational and controversial nu-metal bands.
Red 7 is located at 611 E. 7th Street. All ages are welcome. Doors open at 9:00pm. $10 cover. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Workers Defense Project and Soul Sessions ATX.
