The Austin-based folk rock group Cowboy and Indian was founded when Jesse Plemons, an actor on NBC’s Friday Night Lights, crossed paths with Jazz Mills, formerly a singer with T-Bird and the Breaks. The pair wrote a song together and began performing as a duo, culminating in a buzzworthy performance at a day party during SXSW 2011. Their beautifully simplistic music then attracted Daniel James, one-third of the San Francisco-based rock outfit Leopold and His Fiction. Now fully grown into a six-piece band, Cowboy and Indian has quickly has become one of the most talked about new bands in Austin, having made a splash at both SXSW and the ACL Festival. Each member brings a unique voice to the band, creating stunning vocal harmonies, original songs that will stick in your head for days, and enough guitar, percussion, and rockin' rythym to keep your feet moving.
