The Historic Victory Grill will be hosting visual artists and music for the two weekends of the tour, November 12/13 and 19/20.
E.A.S.T. Victory Lap After Parties
Presented by Big Medium, Austin Creative Alliance, and Capitol View Arts
Saturday & Sunday, November 12 & 13 and 19 & 20 from 6:00 - 10:00 pm
After the tour, convene at Victory Grill (1104 East 11th St), one of the last remaining "Chitlin' Circuit" juke joints on the east side, for our official after-event festivities.
Admission is free and includes showcases of music, food, drinks, and community artisans.
Music line-up (start time 7 pm):
Saturday, Nov 12 - Quentin Moore (soul, R&B)
Sunday, Nov 13 - Drastik (rock, hip hop)
Saturday, Nov 19 - Invincible Czars (neoclassical, experimental)
Sunday, Nov 20 - Gina Chavez (indie, Latin, folk-rock)
Come dance, meet your neighbors, talk with artists and other E.A.S.T.-goers about what you've seen, and experience the heritage of the East side.
During E.A.S.T. view artwork by Marc Zuazua, Juan Martinez, Lucas Negrete, and Rick Osborne representing Mofoz Visualz.
"E.A.S.T. Victory Lap" will be the meeting place for the 500 artists and hundreds of E.A.S.T. participants on each weekend night of the tour. All donations from the four after-party events will benefit E.A.S.T., Austin Creative Alliance, and Capitol View Arts who all serve the east Austin arts community. - Artists
