American Short Fiction Presents: Best of the Beasts

Are you hearing the call of the wild this fall? Searching for your life's porpoise? We've got a solution for you. Come down to Domy Books to celebrate the untamed with Austin lit mag American Short Fiction.

ASF presents Best of the Beasts on November 19 at 7 pm at Domy. We're reveling in fierce art, music, and literature in conjunction with the tenth anniversary of the East Austin Studio Tour. 

The event will feature performances by the hosts of your favorite local reading shows, including Austin staple Five Things, plus the new programs Lord Weary's Reading Series and Unstuck Live. They'll read excerpts from the current issue of American Short Fiction and from our beastliest back issues.

Local rockers Borrisokane will kick off the evening. We'll have a special performance by the amazing Puppet Improv Project. We'll find your spirit animal (special spirit animal counselor on site!); we'll wear masks. You can also check out Domy's beautiful Monster Show 6, featuring wild art from dozens and dozens of artists.

The event is free and open to the public. Domy will be selling American Short Fiction and the rest of their beautiful stock all evening.
