2011 Austin Holiday Formal

Wed. 12/14 | 9:30PM @ American Legion Hall (map)

Event Details
2011 has been a beautiful and superfun year. To fête it, we're asking you to break out your most dapper scarves, most elegant evening wear & most ebullient bonhomie, and bring it all to The American Legion Hall on 12/14.

There will be music and dancing and wintry beverages and crisp air and magic. In attendance will be the most handsome Santa you're ever laid your eyes or your fundament upon. There will be gifts to exchange and presents to unwrap and photos aplenty for refreshing your (possibly hazy) memories in the months to come.

The Spirit of Santa will be manifesting itself in the form of Avi Hartman, whose lap we've all sat upon at one time or another.

Adult beverages will be available & free at both the upstairs & the downstairs bar (please tip your bartenders)- we'll have a couple kegs each of Fireman's 4 and Sierra Nevada that have been donated by Ben E. Keith and hopefully some delightful cocktails- 360 Vodka is donating vodka (natch) for martinis & Wiser's is hooking us up with whiskey & El Zarco is supplying tequila (ideas for tequila-based holiday drinks are appreciated).

Presents will be distributed through a raffle & tickets will be available at the door or at either bar. Raffle winners get to come onstage and unwrap a present of their choosing! So far presents have been donated by Bennu, Bouldin Creek, Fast Folks Cyclery, Snack Bar, Sekret Oktober, Thunderbird, and Toy Joy.

Please RSVP, mark your calendars and ask your friends to do the same.

Your donation at the door will be donated, in turn, to the Austin's Children's Shelter.

This is absolutely a 21+ event as we don't want to traumatize anyone with the realities of holiday adulthood.
