Theophilus London is a genre-bending rapper and singer whose music draws from a range of styles, from rock and soul-pop to contemporary R&B and electro. Boasting a unique sense of style and sound, London initially became popular in his Brooklyn borough through a series of independent mixtapes. He soon became a self-made style icon profiled by the likes of GQ and Esquire, and his all-encompassing approach to urban pop music led a string of notable artists and producers to his door. His debut EP Lovers Holiday was released in early 2011 and featured TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek, Sara Quin from Tegan and Sara, and Solange Knowles. London's full-length debut album, Timez Are Weird These Days, was mixed by noted producer Dan Carey (M.I.A., Hot Chip, Santigold) and released by Warner Brothers on July 19, 2011. London's vocal style is half-rapped, half-sung, powered by glittery production that is filled with all sorts of 80s inspired hooks, deep bass lines, new wave beats, and tight guitar licks. He has appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman, and was a SXSW 2011 Showcasing Artist.Theophilus London and Treasure Fingers with L.A.X., Vegas Banger, and Rickey Jean Francois
