Joining us for 420 this year is reggae and dancehall artist, Collie Buddz! Collie has become one of the most buzz-worthy reggae artists over the past few years. In 2007, when Collie Buddz’ dropped his first self-titled debut album, it stormed the charts entering the Billboard Reggae Chart at #1. Over the past five years, he’s kept up the momentum playing shows from Tokoyo to Dubai, always in front of mega crowds singing along to every word prompting Source Magazine to proclaim, “This 24 year old shotta has got an anthem spreading across the seas.” Incorporating influences from Hip-Hop to Soca, Collie’s music nevertheless has a rock-solid foundation in Reggae – and its power to connect ghetto reality with the highest heights of human aspiration is a rarity.
Houston’s Los Skarnales open with their fusion of danzon, cumbia, reggae, ska and cantina music…all played with a punk rock attitude.
