When 12 year old Fonsi and his family woke up one morning, they did not know that, on that day, their lives would be altered forever. In a matter of hours, as this film unfolds, Fonsi's mother Lupe tries to protect him, but she is dating a violent drug dealer. The drug dealer is willing to put Fonsi and his mother in danger for his latest score. Fonsi's "hippie" father, Giaco, whom he has not seen since he was a toddler, comes back into the picture at the precise moment that threatens to both save and ruin Fonsi's life. Due to a series of unexpected events, each character changes drastically, facing a difficult reality. Cápsulas participated in the prestigious Co-Production Encounter of the Guadalajara International Film Festival in 2009.
