At the time of slavery, every day was a "day of black" in Brazil. But somewhere in the past, one of the slaves became the first free Brazilian black man. This is the backdrop to the saga of a young worker today in the eternal quest for freedom. The black man is now the driver of a wealthy family, involved with the daughter of his boss in the theft of a sacred relic. Pursued by the girl's boyfriend, he spends a crazy night in a mall, facing a series of bizarre characters. After a journey of life and death, our hero learns that there are days when the night sucks, and some stories do not end ever. Dia de Preto has played at various film festivals around the world, including recently at the Chicago Latino Film Festival; this film also features an outstanding soundtrack which was honored with Best Score by the Sunset International Film Festival, LA.
