The dawn of the 1980s saw mankind taking huge strides forward in technology, discovery and misogyny. Like SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE, this film is built on a seething disdain for nubile femininity, filled with powerless, tormented female characters...and written by a woman! But that isn’t to say that the other 3.5 billion of us get away easy. Donny (Dan Grimaldi) is an emotionally stunted nutzoid shut-in who witnesses the fatal burning of a co-worker AND his mother’s death in a single afternoon. Where most people would be bogged down in revulsion and self-pity, our plucky hero enjoys his newfound No-Rules domestic freedom by jumping on the sofa and building a stainless steel fireproof bunker. Once it's completed, Donny heads off to the local disco to bring home some giggling, flammable houseguests. What follows is nauseating, reprehensible and excessively entertaining. (Zack)
