Weird Wednesday: Emanuelle in Bangkok

The last time we showed a Black Emanuelle movie the audience got so jacked-up on pure excitement that we had to use tranquilizer darts and a stun gun to clear the theater afterwards. Two hundred plus patrons stood up in their seats and howled for more. Well here you are, you animals! You wanted more Laura Gemser movies you got it. Let's just hope your endocrine systems can take it this time. EMANUELLE IN BANGKOK is one of the many egregious ripoffs of Just Jaeckin's insanely profitable Emmanuelle films (note the slightly different spelling). Most of these semi-legal BLACK EMANUELLE films teamed lithe, dusky Indonesian sex-bomb Laura Gemser with director Joe D'Amato, an exploitation legend if there ever was one. D'Amato, tragically born without the part of the brain that regulates good and bad taste, is to sleaze what Yoda is to the force. When these two pool their considerable resources no taboo is safe. Expect orgies, castration, perversions of every stripe, all played out in the sin city of the universe, Bangkok. We know this may not be everyone's cup of poison but we'll take a double.
