Building Home is closing on Thursday, May 3rd. The
Phoenix Trades Depot (2415 E. 5th St, Austin, TX) will be open an additional two
hours (10am-8pm) that day. If you missed the opening and haven't seen
the show yet, this will be your final opportunity to be guaranteed a
look at (and purchase) all of the pieces.
If you absolutely, positively cannot come out this week, be sure to check out our online store to purchase many of these works while they are still available.------------
Connecting our history as the location of the historic Austin Lumber Co. to the current direction as East Austin's newest art space, the Phoenix Trades Depot, we asked artists to submit work that explored the concept of "home" through:
- original, innovative furniture design
- work made from materials one would build a home with
- and artwork that expressed the artist's vision of "home."
