One of Austin's oldest races, the 29th Annual Chuy's Hot to Trot 5K & Kid K, benefiting Special Olympics Texas, features a fast, South Austin course; a Kid K where all kids 12 & under receive a medal when the cross the finish line; an appearance by Elvis; door prize drawings and free daycare. A bright green shirt featuring this year's Cinco de Mayo themed art is also included with registration.
5K divisions include a Fun Run and a Timed Run, where runners in age categories are eligible for prizes, including the coveted mil pescado fish trophy and a Chuy's gift certificate.
