Party on the VanguardMay 8thSalvage Vanguard TheatreThe Salvage Vanguard Theater's annual fundraising extravaganza - "Party on the Vanguard" - returns on May 8th from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. for a night of merry-making, prize-winning and culture-absorbing. Proceeds will benefit Salvage Vanguard Theater and its supported artists.Each admission includes a raffle ticket to prize give-aways, along with unlimited bathtub gin, a cake walk and comedy party games with Gnap! Theater Projects. Entertainmentwill include performances by Trouble Puppet Theater and Spank Dance, with music curated by Church of the Friendly Ghost and featuring Melusina and DJ Boya.Hosted by Michael Joplin and Mical Trejo, the "Party on the Vanguard" is attended by more than 200 of Austin's artists and art patrons every year.
