The mounting terror effectively unfolds in real time, as he clumsily panics across the city in a gallant but idiotic attempt to rescue his girlfriend (Mare Winningham) from total global annihilation. This cinematic display of mankind’s base nature is the most ice-cold assault on the nervous system that you’ll ever endure.
