American Cancer Society Fundraiser: Beastie Boys Rap-Along

I typically side with SXSW over ACL, for sooo many reasons. Most of those reasons are the dust and heat at ACL and how miserable that makes me, but in 2009 I almost bought a one-day ticket for Friday night. And then the Beastie Boys had to cancel due to Adam's illness. The reason was understandable, but the disappointment was palpable. Three years later that same disappointment has come back as Adam has lost his three-year battle with cancer. In his honor the Action Pack is going to throw a Beastie Boys Sing-Along party. Because we can't, we won't, and we don't stop, so come out and get Intergalactic with us as we celebrate the life and music of a hip-hop legend. (Henri)
