Two brothers are guided by the disembodied brain of their favorite occult uncle to find a virgin and prepare a blood buffet to raise cannibal goddess Sheetar! This is one of the most all-out bonkers gore films of the video age. The death scenes are wholly creative: a nude woman is rubbed in batter and deep-fried before being decapitated, topless cheerleaders are shot to hell by a man in a Reagan mask, and a cavorting young couple are speared mid-hump by a falling stalactite. At “Club Dread,” punks slam to Austin band Dino Lee & the White Trash Revue. The singer sports a gargantuan pompadour, ladies with blue wigs dance on stage, and all of this is backed by a band of Nazi musicians. Zaaamm! The plot is basically (and intentionally) the ‘60s classic BLOOD FEAST with an overdose-level injection of ‘80s insanity. Dammit, what’s NOT in this movie...with its kung-fu nudity, ventriloquist fry cooks, wrestling Hitlers and mambo-induced car fatalities? Hey, Jackie Kong!
