- Call it our Intro to Advocacy Night - Mellow Johnny's wants to help you get involved with cycling issues in Austin. First we'll take a short ride to see different types of infrastructure including the new cycletrack on Rio Grande. Next we'll attend the Bicycle Advisory Council meeting at City Hall from 6-8pm. Post meeting, BAC members will head to The Ginger Man for a chance to informally talk issues and answer questions. Real change can happen as community members get together to solve problems so join the conversation. Ride rolls out at 5:00pm so please arrive a few minutes early to get signed in. Helmets are required. Lights are required if you will be riding after the BAC meeting. Bicycle Advisory Council meeting runs from 6:00pm - 8:00pm in the "Bull Pen" at City Hall 302 W. 2nd St. Bike parking is available streetside on both Lavaca and Guadalupe plus within the parking garage on the reserved level. Bring your own lock. CapMetro.org has detailed info on the many routes that serve City Hall. Validated parking is available within the parking garage.
