About to embark on a small tour, the Ian Moore Band has decided to do a spontaneous impromptu show on May 24th at Gypsy Lounge. Or as they call it "A Dress Rehearsal"(mistakes included)! This mixture can be both beautiful and deadly to any band. In this case, it's within this bands original members: Ian Moore (Guitar,Lead vocal) Chris White (Bass, Vocals) Bukka Allen (Piano, organ) and Michael Villegas (Drums, Vocals).It is fortunate that this (original) line up that made such a big splash in the mid 90's (touring with such bands as ZZ-Top, Bob Dylan, Ted Nugent, and let's not forget their awesome run as opening band for 'The Rolling Stones' VooDoo Lounge Tour) are joining forces again! We are glad they keep coming around to remind us that Texas Blues-Rock never really stales (unless played over and over again in mediocrity) Especially when it is done with raw passion, aggressiveness, and sensitivity along with just the right (or wrong) pinch of egomania.Time, emotion, and curiosity have a way of bringing back past flowers that bloomed, grew and then blew away. Only now it's in a whole different light of day.
