“I believe in a thing called love. Just listen to the rhythm of my heart. There’s a chance we could make it now. We’ll be rocking ‘til the sun goes down. I believe in a thing called love. Ohh!” We all know the lyrics (or at least the chorus) to The Darkness’ most epic song, I Believe In A Thing Called Love, and if you don’t? Well, you should! I can’t judge too harshly though, because I always thought that the song went, “There’s a chance we’d be making out.” Whoops! Anyways, The Darkness is coming to Stubbs on May 25th and I don’t know about you, but I am not missing out on what is sure to be an amazing sing-a-long slash rock concert.
The Darkness is considered a British glam band, making them guys with goofy hair that can absolutely rock. While this group has an obvious sense of humor, they are serious about creating a blend of pop and rock music that their fans will adore. The Darkness has a reputation for putting on a good show and even won a Kerrang Award in 2004 for Best Live Act. In 2006, the band took a break after jimmy Hawkins stepped down as lead singer for personal reasons. Now, the band has officially reunited and is set to release their newest album, Hot Cakes, in August 2012. - Artists
